A guide to little-known and ancient herblore

Hilderic Friend has catalogued an immense amount of esoteric lore concerning the medicinal, ritual, and spiritual properties of flowers, herbs, trees, and other plants. Much of this knowledge was in danger of being lost forever, but for the work of Rev. Friend. The book is written in the typical meandering prose often found in 19th Century literature, so some of the knowledge imparted in the book must be gathered in a slow and circuitous manner. On the whole the book is a rare gem and a classic in esoteric folklore.
