Great introduction to missionary heroes

The Trailblazer Books are a great introduction to missionary/Christian heroes for kids. We used several of these along with our homeschool curriculum when it tied in with what we were learning. Some of our kids have read them all multiple times. Some of the books deal with more difficult subjects and events than others, so pre-read before just handing to a young child.

I LOVE the Trailblazer books!

This is on of my favorite Trailblazer books. It is about Gladys Aylward, a missionary in China, who takes in a lot of orphans and adopts three of her own children, Ninepence, Less, and Bao-Bao. One day the children see silver "birds" that drop bombs. Now, Gladys has to lead her nearly hundred orphans to safety from the Japanese, proving that God protects and listens to the prayers of His children.
