As a university student in the once-peaceful town of Mubi, The author found themselves trapped amid the Boko Haram insurgency. In the face of unspeakable danger and unimaginable challenges, they embarked on a perilous journey to escape the clutches of terror.

On the 29th of October 2014, Boko Haram raided Mubi, a northern Nigerian town located in Adamawa State. There was series of gunshots and bomb blasts.
