Wonderful Easy Craft

Fleecie Pets: Easy-to-Make Cuddly Animal Friends: The title pulls no punches! This is the easiest craft ever. All of the projects are explained in concise terms with illustrations that lead the crafter to a successful finish. Using fleece fabric, experienced crafters know, will almost guarantee a good result. The fabric is so forgiving! The pets in the book are adorable and easily modified by the maker for a more individual fleecie if that's what you want. The projects in the book will be welcomed by children because they're cuddly and warm. They can be as colorful as you want them to be and as fanciful as a child thinks they should be. Let your imagination go wild. The availability of patterns and colors in fleece material removes all limits and with the popularity of the Ugly Dolls, these would be an inexpensive custom made substitute --better because they're made by you!

Very cute ideas. I made my first fleecie cat today but choose black and white to make it look like my cat. It does !!! Explanations are very clear, easy to understand. Patterns are accurate. So far I am very pleased and I am planning to make many more fleecies. Great book !!!

Great book for absolute beginners and those who teach them!

My 5-year old grandson picked this one out when we were browsing the books at our local fabric store. He REALLY wanted to make one of those pets - an orange and white kitty. He couldn't do the machine sewing but he watched every step and took it all in. He did insist on stuffing the whole thing himself - as did his 4-year old sister who requested a pink kitty. My 8-year old granddaugter and 9-year old nieces and nephew all participated in making their own - some in the sewing, cutting, tracing, some in just the stuffing. Everyone now has a critter ready to go. We will make clothes for them at Grammy Camp this year. This has been the perfect project to get them really excited about sewing. The pattern is very adaptable. I made mine a little wider because my grandson wanted a FAT cat. We found we liked well used fleece (Goodwill or outgrown) better than new fleece for texture - even swiped one of Grampy's old fleece scarves and promised to make him a new one at camp.
