Flash Gordon: The Space Circus

This is the third novel in the Flash Gordon series by Alex Raymond. In this novel, Flash Gordon is driving to meet Dale Arden and Dr. Hans Zarkov at Zarkov's Laboratory. On the way, Flash is abducted by a UFO and taken to the planet Mesmo. On planet Mesmo, Flash is auctioned off to a circus owner and is forced to perform. Flash makes a few friends that are also performers and learns that they too were abducted from their home planet and auctioned off. Flash and his friends are able to escape the circus in a train crash, but the tyranny of the government quickly dispatches search parties and puts bounties on the escaped "Aliens". Meanwhile, Dale and Zarkov begin the search for Flash and with the help of Dr. Zarkov, they are able to discover that Flash has been kidnapped and taken to the planet Mesmo. So Dale and Dr. Zarkov are off to the planet Mesmo to save Flash. While Flash and his friends are trying to find a way to get off the planet, they are also trying to escape the government search parties and bounty hunters. This is another great science fiction/ fantasy novel with adventure and action mixed in to it. Along with it being easy to read, I would recommend this novel to anyone. This novel is also like the second novel, "Flash Gordon: The Plague of Sound", where you can read it and not have to read the first novel. This novel has its own story and keeps you interested in it from start to finish. I enjoyed this novel and though it was a great read. I hope my review was helpful in some way. I enjoyed writing this review. Review by Trevor Kies
