Walker Shows That The Man Is Not All That Needs A Good Fixin'

Keith Walker's FIXIN' TYRONE is about a woman wondering if you can change a bad boy into a keeper, but there's more to it than it. The author also shows that all of us have pieces of our lives that need to be repaired, and alot of the times its not an easy "fix". Mia is a woman trying to take control of her life, but she is having to deal with family issues which involve addiction and the subject of abuse. There is also the challenges that are in place for any single parent trying to create a life for themselves and those they love. Throw in a man who has a past history, and you have all of the conponents for a great read about redemption, the art of forgiveness and not judging a book by its cover. Definitely a book that women will be drawn to but one that men can read with pride as well. Yes, men do read---and Keith shows that some of us can even write and do so well.

Mr. Walker weaves a wonderfully ENTERTAINING tale...with careful attention to detail he creates an INTRIGUING storyline with a pleasant combination of reality, fiction and a touch of humor that is sure to please...the full cast of characters, main and secondary are VIBRANT and unforgettable...Tyrone is truly a "diamond in the rough"...but with the right "polish", faith, love and support from Mia...can Tyrone stay out of TROUBLE and be the man Mia wants and needs him to be...or will he fall back on his old habits and break the kids and Mia's heart, AGAIN...a HIGHLY recommended read...I look forward to reading more from Mr. Walker!

Real Life Drama.....

Mia is a professional women, taking care of two kids, and a household alone. She is a strong black woman that made some bad choice, which one of us hasn't. She is faced with one struggle after another, and when she thought things couldn't get any crazier, in walks her ex. Tyrone. Tyrone is a thug straight up. He has been incarcerated for most of his son's life and now he is home and wants to do right by his son and most of all his son's mother. Should Mia give Tyrone another chance, has Tyrone really changed, can Tyrone give her everything that she wants in a man or a relationship? This is the first book that I've read written by a man, but the main character is a woman. Walker does an excellent job of capturing our emotions and saying the right thing at the right times. I loved that Mia wasn't a pushoever, that she is a strong black woman, dealing with everyday problems. I loved Tyrone's character. Growing up in the city, Walker did an excellent job of creating Tyrone. Can Tyrone and Mia get back on track? Can you make a thug a man? Job well done.

Awwwwww Sookie Sookie Now!

OMG! Mr. Walker had me at page two! "Fixin Tyrone" has it all and the chorography of this story is so well done - I don't know if Mr. Walker is a pipe layer but he is a PAGE LAYER for sure! I love Mia - an independent single mother, the characters around both Mia and Tyrone are a perfect mix! The love scenes are toe curling, blistering heat - you CANNOT read this book out in public (I tried). Oh yes, a MAN can write a romance story! GET THIS BOOK! "Fixin Tyrone" is the perfect book club read as the diverse topics within this story will have women talking and hopefully `fixin' for a long time! Hurry up and write the second book Mr. Walker!

Good Story, Great Ending

I enjoyed reading this story. Although Tyrone had all the elements of a life gone wrong, his persistence and drive paid off. This was one of those stories where you happen to wish that the heroine ends up with the right person. The story was engaging and the ending made it complete. Although Mia went through her up's and down's, trying to find a love that was worth her time, it seemed she made the right pick. I give this one a 4.5 out of 5 in the must have books that I own.
