very life-like

This book really captured the life of this girl, who started out as a selfish, almost stuck-up 12 year old, that matured into a thoughtful 17 year old woman. Five Summers truly represented what the life of teenage girls is like. Mixed-up and confused thoughts, as well as family problems, and worries. I would recommend this book mostly to girls, but anyone that likes a good read should certainly find this one at a library
