A "Five-Star" Cookbook!

"Five-Star Favorites: Recipes from Friends of Mamie and Ike" is truly a Five-Star cookbook! I have already made some of the recipes and they were all very, very good. I purchased this cookbook because I am a fan of the Eisenhowers. I expected to enjoy it for that reason and was not too concerned about the recipes. However, when the book arrived, I was very impressed with the recipes and I would rate it as a favorite on my cookbook shelf now and expect to use it time and again. Many of the recipes were contributed by celebrities of the 1960's and 1970's and that adds to the "entertainment value" of the book. It is a nice size and has a lovely cover for display. This publication is very well done and I treasure it! If you are looking for a "Five-Star" favorite for your cookbook collection, along with a bit of nostalgia, this is the book for you!

This is a classic cookbook!

I love old cookbooks and this one is really my favorite. I especially love that the recipes came from famous people in the 1950's and 1960's. It has some great recipes and I use it all the time. I highly recommend this book to anyone who collects cookbooks.
