Wonderful Book

I watch the Discovery Health channel. This year's National Body Challenge featured Dr. Peeke as its primary doctor. Although I like her, I was a bit skeptical of Dr. Peeke's book. After reading some excerpts from it I decided to give it a try. It was a great read- I felt like I was getting a tailored plan for life. However, the plan is not too strick. She suggests small changes in lifestyle that give you drastic results in the long run. I also see many obstacles alot clearer now. I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Timeless

This is the best way I have found to keep up motivation. I'll listen to Dr. Peeke while walking and she is so inspiring that my resolve to lose weight and stay fit is constantly renewed.

Dr. Peeke is the best

Wish I could have a personal consultation. I've seen Peeke on Discovery TV Health Challenge and this is the second audio version of her books I've purchased (as well as Body for Life for Women). She makes so much sense and keeps on top of the latest info--plus shares her insights from personal practice. Her advice is keeping me fit and healthy as I face the mid-life challenge!

This is the real deal.

I read Dr. Peeke's new book in one sitting, and it's just as great as "Body for Life for Women," with a whole bunch of new meaty (and nutritional!) insight. She gets it; this book is the ultimate instruction manual for a good healthy lifestyle. It's about transformation and progress, not perfection. I'm one of Dr. Peeke's fans, and a patient, and I am in the midst of my own "Fit to Live" revolution; and this book is almost as good as a personal session with Dr. Peeke in the flesh. She is really as funny, honest, encouraging, visionary, and dedicated to making people's lives happier and healthier in print as she is in person. This book IS her, and her common sense and compassion are in every page. Dr. Peeke says that when you're ready for change, real transforming change, you need to own the process. In my opinion, you also need to own this book.

I've seen Pamela Peeke interviewed on many shows over the years and she consistantly seems to make sense to me. She's very knowledgable and in another book of hers that I've read, she makes her subject matters very easy to understand and relate to. The main theme inside this new book is the way our 'toxic' lifestyles can make us fat and how we can make some changes in order to be fit and healthy. She starts out by saying how she's there to save your life if you let her. She poses the question (one that made me really think) "If you had to suddenly leave your comfort zone and run for your life, hoist your body out of a broken elevator, run after a child headed toward a busy street, or grab a tree limb to stop from falling, could you do it? Are you Fit to Live?" Your answer will either shock you to your core or make you proud. Not many might be able to answer yes. She talks about toxic belly fat (this is very scary). This fascinating book is a bit of a twist on weight loss and fat reduction books. It's well written and thought provoking and will almost surely change your outlook on your life as a whole - no matter what area (financial included). I found it really interesting and she offers great advice. I highly recommend this.
