My daughter absolutely LOVES this book

My 16 month old daughter, Sophie, was introduced to the Little People Lift-the-flap series with the Farm book when she was 9 months old. She loved that book so much that for easter I purchased school bus and the cars & trains one, just today I bought the newest ones (busy town and the zoo). She gets so exicted after saying "book" when I pick her up and put her in my lap and begin reading the pages (that i now have memorized). She also enjoys lifting the flaps herself. Through these books she has learned a lot of differnt animals including what sounds they make. I would give these books ten stars if I could and plan to begin giving them as gifts to other children.

All of my kids have enjoyed this book....

This book has been in my family since 1997...and has survived all 3 children. Each one has loved it. The children presented in the book are diverse. As to Bonita's review, yes, the Asian and African American children are not on stage. The parents of these children are sitting with each other, why would they be all mixed up? All the moms sit on one side, and dads on the other? Nonsense. Every other page in this book has children playing with different races. I don't think that one page is a reason not to buy this book.

The BIG yellow bus that could

My 19 month old loves this book, and prefers it over all of his other books. The flaps have won him over. He loves pulling them up and down to see what "opposite" is on the other side. Because it's centered around school, he relates to it easily since he's in daycare. It's the first book he's started "reading" to himself and to his little buddy doll, and he's even started "counting" all the little people in the book. He wants to take the book everywhere we go! I'm going to get the other books in this series, so that he'll have new adventures to pursue once he's "finished" his fascinating bus ride.

A book to grow with

My children love Little People and being able to buy books where they can recognise the characters is exciting for them. The lift-the-flaps get my children involved in the story while I read it to them. No matter how many times we read it, it's always a surprise to find out what is under the flap. A lovely book to share with your growing children and one that isn't too babyish when they start to read themselves.

Great interactive book for all ages.

Great Gift. School bus books are popular with young children. All of my children (from 2 to 7) love this book. The two year old can play with the flaps, identify colors, shapes, opposites and count. The 4 year old can begin to read/memorize the word labels. The 7 year old can read the story. It's sturdy and creative.
