Kristina Rogers Fish and Bones Ray Prather 253 pages 3-8-01 I just got done reading Fish and Bones, by Ray Prather. Its a story of a thirteen-year-old black boy named Bones. In his small home town, Sun City, the local bank gets robbed and he decides he want to catch the robber. Soggy, dirty money keeps showing up all over town and no one knows who took it. While all of this is going on, Bones becomes friends with a boy named Fish. Fish is retarded because he was hit in the head with a baseball as a child. Bones looks up to Fish's older brother Moose who is home from the army. It is a wonderful book with a surprising and somewhat gruesome ending.
I really loved this book.

I liked this book.Bones was very brave to find the robbers but it was strange that his best friends dad was in all of those incidents either. He really found out a lot of stuff that was hidden beneath all of those bad things. Now he does not trust anybody. On of the worst things in the book is when Bones friend Fish gets hit by a baseball in the temple on purpose by one of the teenage robbers then Fish could not even spell his name
