Proud and Chickasaw

Gyva lost her Chickasaw father and white mother to the hands of Jackson's soldiers. This is a story about a young maiden living in a time of ignorance and war. She is thrust into the white world only to find pain and suffering but no matter what she endures nothing can erase the memory of her lover; Firebrand. When the Indian removal act is passed the whites react with brutal hands forcing the Eastern tribes into hell also known as the Trail of Tears. I don't want to spoil it but no war, no white man, would cease Firebrand's love. Gyva would "forever be known as Firebrand's woman." A well written beautiful read.
