Excellent - A Hidden Gem of a Book

I'm just so pleased this recommendation came up, as I had never heard of Philip Connors. This is a nonfiction account of the author's time spent as a fire lookout in a SouthWest US wilderness area. But that's just a sliver of what this book is about. He weaves history with loneliness, honesty with ecology, & provokes the reader to challenge what is believed to be "known" about some of our current policies surrounding nature and our relationship to her.
