Excellent Overview

I was hoping to find a book that would give me the intimate details and tidbits needed to get a career in global health. This book did an excellent job of going over types of jobs available, and characteristics desirable in a person who will be hired in global health. This book is excellent at helping you evaluate your motivations for working overseas. I would recommend this book as a starting place in the process of looking for work, and I did find several things that were useful. However, most people will need to talk with people in the field to get the specific information they are looking for.

A real help

This book was a great guide to figuring out whether I really wanted a job in international health. It was equally solid in running me through the steps toward finding meaningful work. I recommend it both as a how-to manual, and for the interviews it offers with people who've been in the field.
