This work is perfect for anyone that is beginning to take a spiritual inventory of their life, starting to question their understanding of faith, or ready to broaden their spiritual life. Each chapter is written like a beatifully crafted sermon that quickly makes the author's point, gives interesting real life illustrations, and ends with discussion questions and a charge to the reader. This book not only will broaden one's own spiritual understanding, but if read in a group, will inspire great dialogue and build relationships within the group as each member deals with their evolving understanding of faith. This is a book for someone who is beginning to question, beginning to search, beginning their journey of faith.
Colglazier has brought religion to the non-religious.

This book has brought home to a non-religious spiritual person the idea of the Holy Spirit. To think of a God who loves us individually is not so new, but to put it so succinctly overwhelms me. I have turned back to his words about hope. It is well written and inspiring. Thank God.
This book is for those who want to balance faith and reason.

Too often, books on faith are written as though the writer is speaking down to the reader. Where the writer has all of the answers and there is no room for honest questioning and personal examination for the reader. This is not one of those books. Scott Colglazier has written a gem that can find its home in any number of settings: Sunday School discussion, family conversations, large group presentation, supplemental seminary reading, or personal faith development. "Finding a Faith that Makes Sense" is academically challenging for many who have been raised in the church, but it challenges us with the caring prod of a shepherd's staff. As a pastor, Colglazier knows where readers may be challenged and seeks to highlight those places with honest, straightforward stories from his own experience. This book is for anyone who wants to mature in faith while being both open to the Spirit and open to a modern, reasonable worldview. This would be an especially good book for high school seniors going off to Liberal Arts college!
