Fellini: Costumes And Fashion was an exhibition that ran from 1994 to 1996 in various European museums (also Miami). And this is the book that commemorates that those events. There are about 24 pages of text discussing the event which included original costumes used in Fellini's films, as well as some remembrances from people who worked with Fellini. Disappointingly, there doesn't seem to be any pictures whatsoever from the exhibition. It would've been really cool to see just what costumes were unearthed and survive. Instead the main bulk of this book is filled with full page stills and behind the scenes photos from various Fellini films. And also disappointingly, they are all black and white. There are several pages at the end with some contemporary Fellini-type fashion designs. Though, none of them seemed really Fellini inspired to me. The most interesting part of the entire book for me was the inclusion 2 photos I'd never seen before. Pages 70-71 feature a scene from the only barely started and never completed "Voyage Of G. Mastorna" featuring a woman dressed like a mermaid or something. And page 141 includes a topless "Gradisca" from an unused scene from Amarcord. It's basically a very nice picture book of about 200 pages, but it's very unfortunate that we don't get to actually see the costumes that were in the exhibition.
