Feeling the Heat

(Book #1 in the Big, Bad Bounty Hunters Series)

This bounty hunter always gets his man. And if he's lucky, he'll get his woman, too. Into bed, that is... When Linc Stone agreed to help an irresistibly sexy wedding planner track down her louse of an ex-boyfriend, all he'd really intended to do was keep a spitfire looking for payback out of trouble. But being around Georgia Hart and keeping his hands off her was hard--the chemistry was explosive, hotter than even a dedicated, lean, mean hunting machine...

Big, Bad Bounty Hunters are Back!

I consider myself to be a picky reader. I get in moods making it next to impossible to find just what I want, have a horrible time finding authors with stories I can totally fall in love with as I really get into a story, and was just bemoaning the fact that I can't find a romance I can really get into, that entertains me, and that -- when I close the book -- leaves me knowing, "These two were totally meant to be together." Now I gotta take it all back. Feeling the Heat by Rhonda Nelson ROCKS! This is exactly what I needed. See, the funny thing is, I bought this book on a whim, and I bought it while waiting for another one (called "The Loner") to hit the store shelves... not realizing both Feeling the Heat and The Loner were written by the same person. Oooops. But what a lucky, lucky mistake! In "Feeling the Heat", Linc Stone is a super sexy, super fabulous bounty hunter hot on the trail of your run-of-the-mill slimeball named Carter. But this slimeball just very recently got dumped by Georgia Hart (anal... er... "particular" wedding planner), and took an heirloom enagement ring as a party favor when he left. That puts Georgia and Linc on a collision course as she dogs his heels, wanting to "tag along" on his bounty hunt for Carter. She's persistent. She won't take no for an answer. And Linc says no. A lot. Until he finally gets the story on the missing engagement ring (I won't spoil it because it's such a sweet addition to the story), waivers, then finally agrees to let Georgia help him. After that it's a fabulous story of the two getting to know each other, of Linc finding out that Georgia isn't as easily pegged/categorized as he first thought (yay! she's fiesty!) and of Georgia finding out Linc is another dead-end relationship due to committment issues... and falling in love with him anyway. The book is, undoubtedly, sexy (as all Blazes are heralded to be), but Feeling the Heat is more than that. It's a set of fabulous characters finding each other in a great, fun, entertaining story where you *like* them. You adore Georgia for being a smart, strong, fiesty woman with a brain and a smart mouth and a romantic soul. You fall in love with Linc, hurting for him and understanding why he's hesitant to fall in love (another great story that I won't spoil for readers). So when they fall in love and the story rolls to an end, I definitely closed the book thinking these two were not only perfect for each other, but I was thrilled that they'd found each other. I couldn't imagine Linc with anyone else, and I certainly couldn't imagine Georgia with any other man. They fit. They clicked. And because they did, this book hit "The End" putting a smile on my face, warm romantic fuzzies in my heart, and the knowledge that Linc and Georgia had found that once in a lifetime love they were destined for. Fabulous book. I highly recommend it, and Ms. Nelson has moved to the top of my Must Read Authors list. Just in time for summer (and I s
