This was the first cookbook I bought back in 1977 when it was brand new. Just out of college, I bought it at a book fair at the school in which I was teaching. 29 years, four states, and five careers later, it is still on by kitchen shelf and I still go back to it. In fact today I am preparing Vichysoisse from the recipe in this book. I learned to prepare quite elegant meals from Michele Evans and eventually even parlayed my learnings into a job as professional cooking instructor. Michele Evans got me cooking and the early success I experienced with this book made me branch out and learn even more. Now, with my own boys in college, I wish I could buy this book new for them as they graduate. If you can find it, buy it.

I lost my copy of "Fearless cooking for men" during divorce procedings several years ago. I think my X is still using and enjoying it. I found the receipies easy and delicious! I especially liked the mock cheese blintzes and the oyster stew.....outstanding!
