David Robbins Weaves A Fearfully Good Yarn !!

Wilderness #57 - Fear Weaver By David Thompson(David Robbins) - Genre: Western The Wilderness saga continues with this great entry into the series, Nate King is on his way to visit Touch The Clouds and the Shoshone tribe when he happens on the Woodrow family who are trying to find some of their kin who have set up home in a remote valley in the wilderness that is the Rockies, Nate agrees to help them not knowing the hellish situation he and his new friends are heading towards. This tome was another hugely entertaining book in this series that I continue to thoroughly enjoy; I can honestly say I've not liked a book in the WILDERNESS series that is now at book # 60. An engaging plot that has you wondering all the time, just what or who is doing all that killing??. Plenty of action in this book, brilliant characters (I especially liked Auntie Aggie who was hilarious, her banter was extremely funny and made me laugh out loud many times), an excellent plot-line that had me engrossed from start to finish, another brilliant read.

Fear Weaver----classy fiction

Wilderness 57: Fear Weaver The excellence of the Wilderness series, by now, is expected. Of the 57 books in the David Thompson (David L Robbins), has continued to build the adventure that lasted a lifetime. Fear Weaver is one of the most interesting entries, that takes Nate into a valley that holds death and a great mystery. Ed Ryker, frontier scout, has agreed to guide the Woodrow party to find their kin. The largely unexplored valley is home to a silent, beautiful wilderness. Somewhere in the woods there lives a rabid animal/human who kills without remorse, and stalks without fear. In the cabin of the Woodrow family, only the mother and father, Philberta and Sully still live. Their children are 'missing', and a great sickness has overtaken Philaberta's mind. The journey to find Philberta and her children was only the beginning. Arriving at the cabin is the stop over, and a refuge against the wilds. Nate, after spotting the mysterious killers in the wood, hunts for the missing children of Peter and Erleen, and then later the killers of Peter/Erleen and Anora. What he finds frightens him to the core! Thompson writes amazing fiction. His clear, clean, easy to follow style rips readers along the adventures right beside Nate, Zack, Shakespeare, and the greenhorns who dare tackle the great western wilderness. It is always difficult to put one of these down, unless it's to pick up a pack, a parflache, your Hawken, and head out to the woods. Tim Lasiuta

Mr. Thompson does it again!!!

Just finished this book last night. I can't get enough of the adventures of Nate King and his family. In this 57th edition of the series, David Thompson adds a "These Hills Have Eyes" concept to 1850's rocky mountains. After reading it, I thought to myself, David Thompson(Real name David Robbins), needs to turn this wonderful family series into a western sitcom, possibly on HBO. If that happens, Rob Zombie would make a great candidate to direct Fear Weaver, because the book is that good. I can't wait to read Cry Freedom!! Keep up the good work Mr. Thompson!!
