Characters, Plot Twists and, of course, Dead Bodies

Lawrence Light's second Karen Glick thriller is a stunning sequel, introducing us to a richly textured web of plot twists and characters like Jack Faff, a vertically challenged Donald Trump, and Kingman Wooten, a 300 pound, cheese eating, cuckolded national security director. Set against the backdrop of Wall Street and a major national financial magazine, Fear & Greed rushes readers through a wonderfully funny tale of naked ambition and ludicrous ego leading up to a most improbable ending. I couldn't put it down.

I loved it. Imagine a secret computer program that predicts the stock market -- great fun and an exciting tale, right from the start. And thanks to Lawrence Light for the smart, cool heroine in Karen Glick. She takes us inside the world of big-time Manhattan money and elite financial reporting. Juicy!
Strong Sequel!

I enjoyed Too Rich to Live, Mr. Light's first Karen Glick mystery, but Fear and Greed has made me a true fan. Much as the Karen Glick character continues to develop her investigative skills, the writer has developed an even more intricate, subtle, and suspenseful plot full of surprise twists. It's as enjoyayable and entertaining a thriller as one could ask for - I'm looking forward to number 3!
