Great for a Beginning Cook

I bought this book because there were a few name brand recipes that I had lost and hoped that they would be in here. And a few of them are. Pros: This book has beautiful pictures to aid in the presentation of food. Also the print is large and easy to read. You don't need a culinary dictionary to decipher the directions. I am giving this book to a beginning cook because the techniques are not overwhelming. Cons: Since some of the recipes call for spice blends, I doubt that you could duplicate the taste of the finished product.
