Faux Flowers for Dummies

Great inspiration for the design-challenged. Now I know what to do with all those vases I got for my wedding. The simple and elegant arrangements featured in Faux Flowers has guided me to add tasteful accents to my home. I really love this book! (Great gift idea too.)

Great Ideas!

This book contains truly great ideas. I had never considered "fake" flowers a viable alternative to fresh cut until casually perusing this book at the bookstore. Great photography, consise directions. My conclusion on fake flowers changed. Aside from being cheaper (especially in the long run!), faux flowers can be glorious. the degree of control you have over the colors, shapes, and combinations can be overwhelming. This book helped me make sense of it. Some great ideas in here. Simple or complex, bold or understated, i enjoyed it.

Not Grandma's Plastic Arrangements

Who would have thought that silk flowers could be so elegant as well as realistic...you almost want to sniff the pages! The suggestions for containers and mixing dried and silk flowers have encouraged me to be bold. No more little glass vases for me!

Great Book

These aren't your mother's silk flowers! I was surprised by how life-like and beautiful these arrangements are, and how simple they are to make. There's lots of ideas for adding floral touches throughout your home, and useful tips on how to shop for silk and dried flowers and for matching them to containers. This is a good gift book.
