Victoria has done it again!

Victoria Moran has done it again with this book - fantastic, wise and funny advice that actually works and is very doable. Anyone who has trouble with her bank account, love affairs, or food relationship MUST read this book and keep it by her bedside. I have been a fan of Victoria's since I read her Love Powered Diet, which I am happy to learn is being reissued. It too is a compassionate, well written book. Victoria is an amazing writer. Many self help books are written in the same way, with the same tone - but Victoria is a wordsmith so everything she puts on paper is fun to read. Thank you!

Great book

This is one book that you absolutely cannot judge by the cover. All the while I was reading it I was thinking "I know men who need to read this too." I am pleased to see that another reviewer is a male who read it and enjoyed it. I recommend it to men and women. Even if you just have one of the three issues...get it. I am happily married and I didn't feel the "lonely" part really applied to me except that I have definitely struggled socially thanks to my "fat" and ""broke" insecurities so I read that section anyway and benefited because I did. I was nodding my head a lot and had many "Aha" moments throughout the whole book. It is straightforward, organized well and easy-to-read. I feel motivated from this book and will definitely put her ideas in to practice. This is the first Victoria Moran book that I've read, but I will now get others. I appreciate her writing style and found her to be encouraging without being preachy. It was just good stuff. Like a wise friend giving some honest advice.

Great book

Victoria Moran has a way of writing that speaks to each individual personally in a non-judgmental way. I have already implemented her mantra to "just wait" after dinner when those nightime cravings set in. She said that I would be okay, and she was right. I didn't starve and I was okay. Thanks, Victoria. Keep blessing us with your great writing and wonderful spirit. On the negative side, my 10 year old daughter was embarrassed by the book jacket. She made me take it off while reading poolside on our vacation. She did not want anybody to think I was "fat, broke or lonely".

Great Book For Men As Well As Women

As a man, I found the principles in this book, like those found in other books by Victoria Moran, to be truly universal. She understands that all of life's problems, and specifically those related to weight, finances, and relationships, have spiritual causes and spiritual solutions. She draws on the world's great religious teachers as well as her own knowledge and experiences to offer practical, workable advice to the toughest personal issues. Her willingness to become vulnerable and share her own struggles gives this book rare authenticity. If men can look past the woman on the cover and the pink design, they will benefit from this book as much as women, and will help to make it a classic in the literature on human potential and development.

Chasing Perfect

I'm not sure how Ms. Moran got inside my head, but she's clearly there! This book points out all the potholes that keep knocking my life off its path. No matter what I do, I really do still feel Fat, Broke and Lonely--and I'm 40 pounds lighter than I used to be, I can finally afford to buy the things I really want to buy and not just from Goodwill, and I have a great husband, lovely friends and the best kids ever. No reason to be miserable! So, why is it I keep chasing "perfect"? That's where this book comes in to show us how to make life simply lovely--for real. If you're like me; a regular harried woman in the 21st Century, thinking that there has to be a better way, this book will speak to you, too.
