Be Prepared to Pee in Your Pants!

How can you not love this earnest protagonist who hides junk food in her closet while simultaneously plans to loose major pounds of weight? How can you not love one who does virtually the impossible -change her name/take swimming lessons- to garnish the heart of her "true" love? Ah, such sweet sorrow: she is indeed FAT!!Not to worry, there may be a happily-ever-after after all. This first-person narrative snatches up the reader and clearly is a stay-up-all-night-to-read book. A Great Read for Girls

I really love this book. I borrowed it from the library expecting it to be just another read..but it was a great book. I was able to sympathize with everything that happened.. I recommend this book to any girl who feels she has a problem with her weight and thinks that because of it, she cannot attain true love.

Funny, and Sensitive this book is a great read!

I read this book in High School, and five years later I'm still looking for it. Barbara Wersba really captures the essence of a young girl's heart. I loved it!!
