Samantha Hunter's first volume of her fabulous HotWires trilogy FASCINATION, sizzles with adventure, intrigue, sex and danger. The cast of this book includes: Sage Matthews's whose fascination with computer viruses and hacking got her into serious trouble with the law, and learned the hard way, that if you do the crime, you must do the time. Special agent Ian Chandler, who electronically monitored Sage until she came off probation, now has reason to believe that she is involved up to her pretty neck with her old "profession". Ian, recently formed a team of special computer crime investigators, the HotWires, now begins to think that Sage might have been framed by persons unknown... Close contact with Sage leads to some very steamy encounters in spite of his personal sense of professionalism. Now he has to try to prove that she is, indeed, innocent of planting dangerous computer viruses in corporate mainframes... Samantha Hunter, who is married to a computer security genius, has drawn upon intimate knowledge of computer crimes to create steamy spell-binding page turners. A must read, especially good for packing in the vacation suitcase... be sure to read the whole series of HotWires ... you'll fall in love with the sexy well developed characters. Not only has Samantha written this Hot Hot Hotwires, but beyond this trilogy, I heard that she has a number of fabulous novels being published soon ... be sure to watch for them, I know I will.
Sam Hunter hitting her stride!

I devoured Sam Hunter's 'Fascination' in a couple of sittings. The hero, Ian, has a tough-as-nails exterior, but we gradually get to see his humanity - he's a great, complex hero who I enjoyed reading. Sam Hunter's talent for characterisation also shines in her handling of the villain - a slimy piece of work, but somehow you can see how the heroine had once fallen for him. The techno-crime theme and is well handled, as the computer stuff is understandable without being spelled out. Its nice that the reader is credited with intelligence, so it reads smoothly without feeling like a lecture. The heroine, Sage, isn't my favorite of Hunter's heroines so far (hence the missing star), but I still enjoyed the story. The next in the series promises to be great reading with a kick-butt heroine! Having read three of her novels, with two more on the way and more in the pipeline, I get the feeling, reading Samantha Hunter's books, that I'm watching a terrific talent unfolding.
