Farming with Grandpa

There are just over two million farms in the United States, and over 95 percent of those are considered small farms. They preserve the land, buy tools and supplies from local stores, hire employees, and sell the products back to the residents. Many small farms even have open houses, hiking trails, apple festivals or even a small store on site. Apple and blueberry picking are very popular activities during the late summer and fall seasons. Many customers visit to take in the outdoor scenery, breathe the fresh air, feel the crisp temperatures, and select the best fruit you can find. Take a trip to an orchard or farm this year.
