Fangirl: A+++

Had alot of time on my hands when I found this book. Read 3 times in one year. I really connected with me. Twins. College. Differences in relationships that aren't in many books. Was a page turner that I would not get to bed till 2am most days. Every character was amazing for their own reasons. I also loved that Hardcover art, inside and out. "Emergency Dance Party" art needs to be made into a poster. A+++ read.

5/5 and I’ll not exaggerating

Literally got sad when I finished the book it’s nothing like I’ve ever read. I was rooting for both characters

The girl can write!

This is my second book I’ve read of RR’s. First was Eleanor and Park. Gosh, I thought I couldn’t love anything more than that! And now this! As someone who spent a lot of time loving fanfic and loving Harry Potter and other fandoms, it was so relatable. Then real life happens and it just resonated with me so much. I read it in one day, I could not put it down!

Perfect

This book. God this book was everything. It was so emotional and there were times it was so up and funny and cute and sweet and times where my heart broke and anger and resentment filled every pore up. I loved the exerts of both the fan fiction Cath was writing and the exerts from the original books. I loved the ending and I would highly recommend this book to any person who has loved a book or series so much that when it ends you find a community who helps breathe new life and continued stories to it.

Fun Read and Enjoyable Characters, kind of forgettable though

I really enjoyed the characters and the way they talked about fanfiction esque topics. Enjoyed seeing it taken seriously. While I heavily enjoyed the book and read it quite fast, didn't really think about it again afterwards. Definitely a young adult fiction book as well.

A Fangirl for "Fangirl"

I loved this book. It felt like I was half reading about my adolescence and college years. While I wasn't a huge introvert like Cath was, I could relate in many ways. Not to mention the school they attended is one I'm partial to! (GO BIG RED!) I love how Rainbow writes. Her characters are so vivid and charming and real. I loved the relationship between all of the characters, familial and love-interests. They weren't perfect and if they tried to be, they failed but in the cutest way possible. I got a little tired of all the included fan fiction and felt some of it was unnecessary to the story line. But on the alternative, as many people have pointed out, it was clearly a Harry Potter parody and I have gone through the rabbit hole of canon and fan fiction of HP that this book made it so much more for me. Side note: Levi needs to be real or someone needs to direct me to his equal for me to throw my love at.

Favorite romcom

The main protagonist, Cath, is so relatable in having anxiety and jitters in being a freshman in college while dealing with family difficulties. I love her so much. Highly recommend this book to those other romcom fangirls.

I’m fangirling over this book

This book is so cute and relatable. It looks into college which is good for people who are in high school and wondering about it. It shows that fan girls are intense. We should all be fangirls it shows you care about how amazing the series is. Fangirls are powerful and this book shows it wrapped around a real life story. Read it I swear it’s good.

A True Fangirl

As a Fangirl myself with Harry Potter, Anime, and BBC TV I feel this accurately depicts the pain that is fangirlism. I developed a deep connection with Cath as she found real world difficult to love when the world of her fandom was so much more enticing. I found myself reading the entire book in one day because I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. Physically incapable in fact because I became so enthralled with her challenges because they were mine as well. If you are a Time Lord, a Hunter, or hell even a Sparkly Vampire fan and have spent days reading fanfiction or nerd news you HAVE to read this.

Haaaave you met Cath?

"Fangirl" is for every single person out there (yes, girl or guy) who's ever had to deal with being a little bit awkward and a whole lotta obsessed with escaping into the world of fanfiction. It's Cath's first year of college and she's having a little trouble learning to balance the demands of college, family, maintaining a happy online fanbase, and (gulp!) boys.
