The genealogies range from a single paragraph to a dozen pages or more, enumerating descents through several generations, and are arranged alphabetically by family name, under which may also be found the names and records of allied families. The families traced here include those called Free Planters, who settled Milford in 1639, those who came soon afterward and who are called After Planters, and, in addition, those families who were in town at an early date and about whom there is a significant amount of information available.
