James Lileks, a syndicated columnist from Fargo, may not be well known, but his first novel shows how sometimes the best can be hidden. In "Falling Up The Stairs," Lileks creates a vision of the American everyman... until he faces the ridiculous. This book is a laugh a minute with characters that are easily identified with and a plot that is both enticing and easy to follow. The only problem is that, while a page turner, it is sometimes hard to turn the page when you are rolling on the floor.
Falling From The Chairs

Hilarious! Moving! Sexy! Thrilling! These and other words like them appear in various places in this comedic detective story about a hapless restaurant critic thrust into conflict with "Eat Right or Die" food terrorists. Read this book lying down if you don't want to fall from your chair laughing as Jonathan Simpson weaves his way between danger, deceipt and lust. Highly recommended!

Fiction of the rarest water! Wry, fast-moving tale of a believable hero in almost unbelievable circumstances (centered around food terrorists "eat right or die!") in the northern midwest. Tough to find but WELL WORTH THE QUEST! I had to get 2 copies; one to have & one to loan to all my friends! Mail me if you like it!
