This is not the first Pat Jobe book I've read, and I certainly hope it's not the last. He is a man who can string words together in a way that makes me grateful to Mrs. Edna Bray, the first-grade teacher who taught me to read in the first place. Falling In Love With Everything is not your ordinary how-to book, although Jobe tells us early on that it's a how-to book about staying alive. Why does he fall in love with everything? Because "I'm afraid if I don't fall in love with everything I will kill myself." I'm not yet at the point where I'm in love with everything, but after reading this book, I'm learning to fall in love with a lot more stuff. And I'm definitely the better person for it.
