Classic Factor Analysis book

This is likely the best book available on factor analysis that is currently available. It provides detailed information about how to do exploratory factor analysis as opposed to confirmatory factor analysis. If you want something on CFA then you should NOT buy this book. If you want to do exploratory analysis and understand the nuances about EFA then it is a very good book to purchase. It has greater detail than most other books and does not require the mathematical skills required of other books that have this level of knowledge. For a brief introduction to EFA and CFA I would suggest Hair et al's Multivariate Data Analysis book but for a good solid understanding of EFA Gorsuch is the way to go.

To know FA inside out

For any research student who wants to know factor analysis inside out, s/he must read this book. I compared quite a few texts and found this one to be the best, despite its age.
