Teaching lessons

For a day that is remembered for its horror, chaos, and fear, it is a delight to see the day honored for its "hope". These beautiful children represent the special deliveries of that day. As a teacher, I spend time discussing the impact of September 11th with my students, and I use a lot of literature written about that day. No book gets the reaction of my teenage students as does this book. Not only are the children innocent and full of hope, this book proves an important lesson to my students: Out of evil, good triumphs. This book is a very important part of my teacher library and it will continue to sit on my shelf as a reminder of the positive impact of that day.

Babies Bring Light to a day full of Darkness....

Faces of Hope Babies Born on 9/11 is a wonderful book that brings light to our world when many stood in darkness after the terrorists attacks almost two years ago. It was writtenby Christine Piersa Naman to be a message of hope to a worldthat was forever changed that day. Other books have been writtenabout the tragedy, the stories of those who lost loved ones, how we could have avoided the tragedy, etc...I think Christine was trying to share some of the goodness left in our world with those who felt and are still feeling such sadness and loss. She mentions in her book, "With new life, there is always hope." I think Faces of Hope provides a smile, a ray of sunshine, when many are still hurting and need it most."A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on." -Carl Sandburg another quote from the book says it perfectly. Americans are going on, moving forward but we will never forget the courage and bravery of those who lost lives thatday. This book was to all of those people, their families and anyone needing to believe in a little goodness again! Christine Naman was able to put in words what so many of us were thinking and feeling on 9/11/2001 "What kind of world did we bring our babies into?" Her book doesn't have the answers just a little hope in the faces of 50 babies shown on the pages (50 babies out of 8,000 plus born on 9/11). The babies born that day can never replace those who lost lives; bring new hope...definitely!.. I highly recommend this book!

Blessed Faces of Hope...

What wonderful reading and beautiful little people, you can't help but smile as you turn each page and see each little face looking back at you. These little ones not knowing the tragedy happening around them, just knowing that they are here to be loved and blessed. And though so many lives taken, this shows so many given new life...and hope.

Faces of Hope: Babies Born on 9/11

This is an excellent book that shows the world that even though horrible tradegies happened on 9/11/01 many faces of hope were born. Christine Piersa Naman takes the time to find pictures of 49 babies plus her own to use in this book! She has heartfelt words of encouragement for those who lost loved ones on this day in a special dedication to the Mothers and Children in the book. This book is inspiring and touching! I would recommend to anyone needing something joyful to think about on each anniversary of the horrible events of September 11, 2001,it will bring a smile to your face.

Faces of Hope

Faces of Hope is a must read for anyone searching for good on a day that is fraught with sadness. I promise! It's very difficult to realize that all of us were blessed, not only as a country, but as a people, on that unforgetable day. But we were! Faces of Hope illustrates, not once, but 50 times, just how blessed we actually were.Read this book and buy copies for your friends, because everyone needs to be reminded, that without hope, we have no future.
