After skipping the ninth grade and entering high school in an accelerated program for gifted students, fourteen-year-old Eric and his best friend Paul seem to undergo a dynamic change in their relationship.
had read it before when i was in high school or so. a little breakfast club-y, esp. w/ the supporting characters, but the central emotional drama, namely the relationship b/t two long-time friends and how it changes as they enter high school, was nicely done.
Eric and his life experiences

Eric, a new highschool student has many things to learn about it.He lives in a apartment with his mother. She is a very loving and caring person. He discovers love and starts noticing woman. Paul(Erics best friend) is stuck in the same accelerated class together.Paul is a very competitive person. They compete with one another to see whos best. But if that isn't enough, they have to put up with the teacher Eric hate the most...Mr. Drake. He was the most manipulative debating teacher in all of school. I personally liked this book because it deals with eveyday life situations that people might've been stuck in before. I would definetly recommend this book to the young adults.I think the author..(Sweeney) is avery bright and brilliant author. She creates a sence of caring for the characters and feeling for them. This was a very good book.
