Practical, Well-Written, Research-Based

I read this book to find answers for a depressed friend. The book delivered. Dr. McIntosh drew from her wealth of counseling experience, plus her wealth of higher education in Psychology and Counseling, to offer an approach that's both Psychologically sound and simple to apply. To make it even more understandable and personal, she throws open the windows to her own life, showing how she went through her own "extreme damage makeover," to overcome the negative messages she'd internalized as a young person. I recommend it to any who suffer from depression, negative thoughts, and damaged relationships. Also useful to those who want to counsel those who struggle with these issues.
