Intriguin Look at Brighton Beach Area

EXPOSED is James Koeper's first novel and on balance it is a remarkable effort. The author gives the reader some memorable characters, an imaginative plot and an intriguing look at the Brighton Beach Area.

James Koeper's first novel realistically delves into the Cold War mentality of the Soviet Union's spies, the intense and long-term planning that went into some of their projects, and the human difficulties of maintaining ideological hatred over decades. Now that the 21st Century has its own version of long-term terrorist planning, spawned by an even more fervid ideological hatred, Koeper's thriller about the last century's underground war is more valuable than ever. Exposed sets the standard for Mr. Koeper's signature combination of a clear-sighted but kind professional, caught in a complex thriller which is almost, but not quite, totally beyond his control. The story is conveyed in a clear writing style that any reader will enjoy.

Mr. Koeper has a profound understanding of foreign policy and geo-politics. He sums up the conditions of Russia agents in the post cold war era in an exciting and thrilling book. I loved it. I'm curious as to what Mr. Koeper's background is and more importantly what his next book will be about?

Exposed is a compelling novel. In a world of formula thrillers, Exposed stands apart for the creativity of its plot. The characters are well-developed. The plot twists are unexpected. Exposed is what a great thriller should be--exciting, interesting and unexpected. An all-around great book. I'm definitely looking forward to James Koeper's next book

Intense thriller makes John Grisham look like Dr. Suess!!

"Exposed" by James Koeper is an intelligent, nail-biting thriller that sends you reeling from beginning to end. An unusual plot with NYPD & the Russian KGB/Mafia and a reporter caught in the middle- --finally somebody has an orignal, fresh idea for a thriller! I found myself cheering for the likeable reporter (hero) and totally horrified by the unrelenting, chilling villians (russian guys). It's a mysterious chase filled with the unexpected.
