Great creation-based biology book

All the pictures in the book are included as part of the text so the student does not get over-timulated by extra and unneccessary diagrams while reading. The on-you-own questions are helpful to test the student's comprehension as they go through the reading. The labs are practical and easy to complete.

Great Biology book!

We have used 5 of the J. Wile Science books and really like them. This first edition in Biology is very similar to the second edition and much more "cost effective" for our family. If you like something that is written in a conversational style and is very readable for young people but, still quite challenging, you will enjoy this book. Good experiments, concise lab notation sheets, challenging module questions, and tests. Consistent format throughout all the J. Wile books. Very well thought out system. We are on our 4th student in this book! Good ACT scores are a bonus!!!!

The Standard for Homeschool Science

I consider all of the high school level Apologia texts to be the standard for homeschool science curriculum. They are thorough, the experiments totally doable at home, the test/solution manual makes testing simple. The audio book is indispensible to my dyslexic child who hopes to go into veterinary medicine. I recommend this series to all my friends.

The book pictured is incorrect.

The 2005 edition is the one with the zebra on the front. This listing is for the 1998 edition.
