This introduction to abnormal psychology addresses the causes of psychopathology and issues in the treatment and prevention of abnormal behavior. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is a useful guide for university students with a special interest in abnormal psychology. It contains many useful references and I found the bibliography very easy to use. The content of the book is easy to absorb, clearly written, if a bit perfunctuary in detail. A useful book to have as a back up to a main text, but not sufficiant on it's own.Neale is a competent writer and his books are used by most universities with a course in abnormal psychology, but this is not one of the best. Better is his co-ordinated effort with Davison called simply Abnormal psychology.Worth a read, some parts are extremely interesting and thought provoking.
