Ambrosia in book form...

This book wasn't the first book of Arthurian legend that I have read, but it was the one that made my mouth water for more. The book, although mostly about Arthur, describes in detail the passionate relationship between Guinevere and Lancelot. It has been awhile since I actually read it, but i've been looking for it since. I think it was the greatest book. This fantastic novel is a must-read for any Camelot fan.

King Arthur Lives!

Arthur lives again in this excellent interpretion of the M'orte d' Arthur. From conception to death, Arthur's life is beatifully chronicled. This is one of the best books I have ever read!

Excalibur is a complete adaptation of he King Arthur Legend.

Gil Kane and John Jakes' adaptation of The King Arthur Legend is the complete story. Many popular written and theatrical adaptation of this story, including the movie with the same name, expect the reader to accept that Arthur was preparred for Kinghood by some magical intervention. The reader or viewer is to believe that a humble squire draws the sword and is transformed into a formidible warrior. In Excalibur, however, Kane and Jakes take you through Arthur's entire life The story begins with Merlin, the druid, and his dysharmonious relationship with Uther Pendragon which ultimately results in Arthur's conception. The story winds through Arthur's childhood with his serrogate family. Here, Kane and Jakes take The Legend one step further. They detail Arthur's heroic exploits with Amlod, a warrior of The Crusades, who is responsible for molding Arthur into a respectable warrior who has seen enough of his kingdom to rule it wisely. Finally, the story takes the familiar track through Camelot to the search for The Holy Grail. Excalibur has all of the endearing qualities of The King Arthur Legend with all of the holes filled in for the mature reader.
