A FUN RIDE

The second book in The Garrison series, this was a thoroughly enjoyable ride! You wouldn't have needed to read the first book as this is a complete story on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was non-stop action the whole time, and the characters were wonderful - the hero, Javel, was charming yet wise-cracky, and the heroine, Xernia, was extremely capable yet conflicted. The two of them had great chemistry together. I loved all the twists and turns and the obstacles that the characters had to resolve in order to escape the crumbling prison. Highly recommended!
