If you love your dog, you need this book

What a great book for anyone with a dog. Both amusing and useful. Lots of facts, not to mention some great short stories, and a sprinkling of humor as well. The book covers everything from Presidential pooches, designer dogs, and exercise tips. Did you know that the largest recorded litter was of 24 puppies? The poor mother. Or would you like to know why dogs roll in smelly, and sometimes dead, things? Read the history of the unluckiest dog in the world (his medical insurer was the really unlucky one). And the story of how a dog shot a man. On the useful side, there is a very good list of items for a first aid kit for dogs, tips for safe car travel with dogs, and what are the vital signs to look for in a dog. The format--which is one short, snappy paragraph or two on a topic, and then on to the next--makes for brisk, fun reading. Recommended.
