Everything is different at Nonna's house. No honk, honk taxis jam the street. No way-up buildings crowd the sky.At Nonna's house there's always time for blueberry pancakes. And there are fun jobs to do... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I purchased this book in 2006 because my name is Nonna and I was a fairly new grandmother. I read this book to my 3 year old grandson when he comes to stay the weekend with us. He wants to hear it over and over because he thinks the book is about him. He calls his grandfather "PopPop" and loves to ride on his tractor and he works in the garden with me, Nonna. It is truly a special book.
For Anyone Whose Kids Are Close with a Nana...

I just read this book to my five-year-old son and I had to stop a few times since I got choked up! He has a VERY special relationship with his nana (my mom), and this book summed it up. It describes how special a child feels at their grandparents' house. It was so perfect for us, because my mom, (as is her privilege as a nana) is more lenient with my son and let's him spread his wings...just like in this book. She makes him feel so special - again, just like in this story. I plan to get this book for my mom as a Christmas gift....
