Everybody Wins that reads this book!

As a RE/MAX agent, I found the history behind the company to be most interesting. From a real estate perspective, it offers great insight into how the industry has changed over the last 35 years. From a business perspective (and that's probably this book's most valuable beneficial view) it illustrates the importance of holding onto a dream until it becomes reality. Entertaining, motivating and enjoyable - a great book all the way around!

Hot Air & Real Estate Go Together

As a fellow hot air balloonist I can certainly relate to Dave Liniger, Chairman and Co-Founder of RE/MAX and his passion for flying. As a business person I can relate to his passion for perseverance, especially when the chips were down." Everybody Wins" should be required reading at business schools and every real estate agent should read it, whether they work for REMAX or a competitor. In these days of MBAs running the world, its refreshing to read about someone who succeeded in business the old fashioned way... by rolling up their sleeves and getting knee deep.

A great book with valuable insights for business success

This is one of the most outstanding books I have read . It tells a story and gives an in depth explanation of the reasons for the successes. The ability and single-mindedness of the leaders of the founders, Gail and Dave Liniger have provided cohesion and impetus to RE/MAX growth and efforts. The book is an outstanding case study which I am sure will become a standard text in colleges and universities. I was also impressed with the care taken to recruit leaders and other employees into RE/MAX. As stated, "Recruit dream sharers for skills and knowledge but select finalists for values and attitudes." It seems to me that this credo has helped to assure RE/MAX's outstanding, continued success. Also, the unceasing emphasis on "stay focused," " brand dominance" and "pace line leadership" to assure growth helps to explain why RE/MAX is the world leader. EVERYBODY WINS masterfully explains the RE/MAX concept and operation in my view. Harkins and Hollihan's outstanding case study helps to assure that RE/MAX is a "beacon" for firms and persons seeking success. I have no doubt university business schools will seize it to make their studies current, meaningful and reflect what is possible in American business both nationally and internationally.

A Great Inspirational Book to Buy For Yourself or As a Gift

A business book that has main characters, a story flow, and lots of lessons to be learned! Wow! The story of Dave and Gail Liniger and their vision for RE/MAX is just unmatched anywhere else in the world. Hands down, you've gotta read this one!

Just Read It

I can tell you after working within the organization in various capacities for many years, and after personally hearing the founder and chairman Dave Liniger talk about it a few days ago, that this is a great book--even before I read it (not available at the time of this writing). Why? Because RE/MAX is an organically grown company, a true example of the Victor Hugo quote: "Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come." RE/MAX serves as an example to all great organizations wherein the people are the most valuable resource--and I mean the associates and owners within the RE/MAX network. Their belief and promotion of its business model is a lesson for all entrepreneurs. Behind the tireless leadership of Liniger, RE/MAX has set the standard for industry vision and how, in the face of corporate domination, one company can rise to excellence while never abandoning its humanity.
