More Than a Martyrology

I have had this book for years, and it has become very important to me and now the Ebionite Community. The majority of the atrocities committed against Jews over the centuries listed day by day throughout every date of the year were done by Christians including those in Nazi Germany. Hitler used Church law as the framework for anti-Jewish laws of his Reich, and he harnessed the long-standing and widespread Jew hatred of German Christians to destroy Jews of Europe. In the US we would not imagine persecution of Jews, but think again, and there is plenty of Jew hate is alive and well here within our Christian neighbors. Look for the examples in this book. We made the decision to use this book as part of our liturgy. At the beginning of every type of Ebionite service, even weddings, we acknowledge the victims who have died for being Jews on that particular day in history. It is not contained in the siddur itself, but it has become part of our "order of prayer" and we want our community to make "Every Day" a "Remembrance Day." We add Psalm 5 which expresses justice via the hope that evil men fall by their own devices. This is a book every Christian should read and get the true estimate of their religion. All Jews should own it in order to beware of what is possible from their neighbors, G-d forbid. All Ebionites must own it.

Astonishing

Astonishing that any people could fill an entire year - each and every day - with assults on them and exterminations. Day by day, Wiesenthal chronicles the fate of Jewish people at the hands the Christian and Islamic world. Pick a day - your birthday perhaps, all 365 are here - and see what was done to the Jews.
