On the contrary, it provides a way to understand morality's universal and local functions that will be useful to anyone who plans to live a life that goes beyond tribal boundaries. In fact, it helps us understand why everyone has an obligation to develop the communicative, rational, moral skills needed for judging the legitimacy of policies that affect people from different cultures and ways of life.
