Jack Smith's "Eternally Yours" is a collection of articles he wrote for the L.A Times towards the end of his life. Like always Jack writes about his life, and these articles chronicle the latter days during his illness up to his passing. The book is not morbid or depressing. Jack's wit, insight and simple perspectives are abundant. I will miss him, and wish he wrote more novels.
Gone, but not forgotten!

One of the wonderful things about reading the LA TIMES was enjoying Jack Smith's columns. He's gone now and his presence is still missed. This wonderful collection of Smith's observations is at least a consolation to enjoy again and again. Would also make a great gift.
