Essential Touch is an essential book for your personal library

I found this book very interesting. Frances Carlson writes about how touch is essential to humans and offers research to back her ideas. She also offers practical suggestions to implementing positive touch. When you think about how much inappropriate touch that occurs and how much abuse we see in society, it's so helpful to find someone writing about the POSITIVE aspects of touch. She offers humor, insight and specific examples. Although this book is geared towards teachers of young children - I believe this book would be useful to parents, physicians, policy makers and anyone who cares about children, families and healthy development. I highly recommend you read this.
