10 top sights in Rome

This is a pocket book, with lots of pictures. It gives suggestions about top 10 places to see in Rome. Regardles if you have limited time in Rome or a day for each of the ten sights, this book will help yu figure out which ones you can visit in one day. Book is easy to carry in a purse or bag and does nto take lots of space. Hoewever, make sure you ask for a map at your hotel. Streets and traffic in Rome are brutal. Be ready to walk a lot and bring comfortable shoes. If you are visitng Ostia Antica, ancient city 30 km outside of Rome, do not rent a car. Ask hotel for instructions on how to get on train to the city. Youy can see this wonerful ancient port for only 1 euro one fare ticket. It is well worth the money and time! My only regret is that I traveled on the budget and did not have any information on how much opera tickets cost as well as "after hours" transporation. Well, perhaps next time.

All You Need to Get Around Rome...

If you are going to Rome this guide is essential indeed. It is all you need to see the highlights and the off the beaten track locales that make Rome the eternal city. On a recent trip there, I had this guide only and it fit so easily into a pocket that I could consult it whenever I wanted to figure out "what's next". The maps are clear and reliable, the photos are small but of the highest quality. The Top Ten list is a joy--it makes getting to the places worth seeing so easy. Do go to Rome--you will love it. And don't leave home without this book!
