Spyridon Moshonas, a first-time author, has written has a powerful, entrancing book about a young boy trapped in a magical world. The story's hero, Benny Verne, must face off against an evil wizard and find his way back home.Unlike the wildly popular character Harry Potter, Verne is a human being with no magical powers to speak of. Benny can't count on a spell or magic potion to help him out of a tough jam. Rather, he must use his intellect and deductive powers to aid the jolly King Fiscardo and escape the foreign terrain known as Argopoli.Moshonas is a stylish writer. He describes major and minor characters with grace and charm. There are detailed accounts of magical creatures and beasts, including the Crow Witch. And Benny is portrayed as a thoughtful and loyal character, ready to protect his friends and combat his enemies.Is Moshonas the next J.K. Rowling? It's up the greatest critics of them all, the children, to make that decision. I think they will like what they see.

It's one of my favorites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love the way he describes his characters. His creativity is awesome. The way he prepares for things in the story is amazing. It is so magical.It is cool how he fits everything in all those pages.
