An eleven-year-old New York farm girl travels with her parents to the Michigan Territory in 1836 by way of the Erie Canal, encountering unknown dangers and incredible hardships.
My book Erie Trail West was pretty good. It was about a family in the past moving from New York to Michigan Territory. They go on the Erie Canal to get there. They also take a couple of adventures along the way. In one adventure they pick up a orphan boy along the canal. When they made it to Michigan Territory the cabin was not what they had expected. I liked this book a lot, it was exciting and adventurous.
