i really liked this sequel to the other erec rex series. the book was truly fantastic and so were the other two.

Fantasy That Rivals Harry Potter

I love anything fantasy as long as it has magic in it and Erec Rex achieved that. Originally I thought that only Harry Potter could ever live up to that but I was wrong. Kaza Kingsley plunges you into a world of wizards, magic, and magical worlds that is completely different than Harry Potter. The story is enchanting and brings you all the right elements for a wonderful tale of magic and adventure. Ever since I picked up the first Erec Rex book I have been hooked to the story. I found it enchanting, unique, and spell bounding. I could give this book to anyone and I think they would love it. I hope anyone who reads Erec Rex: The Search for the Truth loves it as much as I did.

A review through the eyes of the daughter

This is what my eleven year old daughter says about the book (slightly edited): This is the third book of the series and Erec needs to fulfill the next two quests to become King of the kingdom of Alypium. The two quests he needs to fulfill are: find a bee-hind and set it free and find the five Awens and put them on the Twrch Trwyth. I don't want to say more because that would tell you too much about the book. The book is well written and keeps the story moving on. It is a very good sequel. The characters are well described and the fantasy world is believable. I recommend the book because it is a good sequel and it is full of adventure. There are also a few surprises that keep the book entertaining. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes fantasy. I am looking forward to the next one! Enjoy!

Erec faces his past

This third book in the series has Erec grocery shopping with his foster mom when he sees a vision of his best friend being tortured by the evil magician, Thanatos Baskania. When Erec comes back to reality, he finds that he had turned into a dragon. He sets off to Alympium to help Bethany. His premonition gave him a place to start, but it looks like Erec will have his hands full this time. He winds up with TWO quests to complete this time, and the Stain triplets are right on his tail the whole time. Baskania is growing in power and Erec must master his own magical abilities if he is going to survive. I loved this book. I'm glad that Erec found out a little more about who he is. He's also learning to use his magical powers. I loved the way his friends really helped him with his challenges. Erec has some tough choices to make this time. Baskania is possibly one of the creepiest villains in children's fantasy books. I think this is too intense for young teens, but then I am conservative. I am very anxious to read the next one in this series.

Better than Harry Potter!

I love this series, so far...It is sooo interesting. It has twists and turns that you don't see coming and Erec is so relatable in his character. I love him! The characters in the book are genuine, and they all have their own backstories, even the 'bad" characters. We are on this journey with Erec to find out who he really is and complete these quests, and every single book gets better and better and leaves you wanting the next. I cannot wait for the next book! There are many different magical worlds and are so great because here we find that some of these worlds are also in "upper earth." I love this series so much and would really recommend it to any age group!
